Free-to-air channel Awesome TV is now available on Astro

The latest free-to-air channel in Malaysia, Awesome TV is now available on Astro Ch 123 HD.

It was first launched on Aug 3, 2020, and is available on MYTV Ch 112.

Awesome TV offers local content in all genres as well as international shows, and it has gained an increased viewership starting from October.

“Awesome TV recorded its highest daily viewership reach of over one million viewers back in November 2020 and to date, more than 2.6 million viewers have tuned in to the channel,” said Datuk Adam Ilyas, CEO of Awesome TV in a press release.

It stated in the release that the channel did well on digital and social media platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Facebook and Instagram.

“We are here to help uplift the national broadcasting landscape by providing fresh and engaging local content on the channel, ” said Johan Ishak, managing director of the channel.

“We currently have 70% local content on the channel and we hope by providing this additional platform, we can encourage more local producers of television content to develop suitable high-quality programmes for all Malaysians to enjoy.”

The channel will be available to all Astro, Astro Njoi and Astro On Demand subscribers in HD.
