Plagued with uncertainties since the reimplementation of the movement control order (MCO), actress Intan Ladyana and TV host Harris Alif have decided to stick with their Feb 6 wedding date for now.
The announcement of the MCO in five states and three federal territories from Jan 13 to 26 has thrown a wrench in the couple's wedding plans.
While the MCO doesn't fall on their wedding date, talk is rife that the MCO may be extended for another two weeks.
"What I can say is, for the time being, our wedding date remains the same. If there are changes, I will make an announcement," husband-to-be Harris tells Harian Metro.
He admits preparations for the wedding are currently in limbo.
"It's hard to say for sure, as we don't know if the MCO will be extended. When it comes to wedding preparation, we'd like to have a look at what the new SOP will be like and decide whether to truly go ahead with the wedding or postpone it."
Another couple looking to tie the knot this year is singers Ernie Zakri and Syamel.
Ernie shares they're glad their wedding date doesn't fall within the MCO period but are worried if it gets extended are.
"Our concern is if the MCO is extended for a long time because we want to at least have our nikah ceremony take place soon. The reception can be later in the year," says the Gundah hitmaker, who declined to reveal her wedding date.
