The late actor Chadwick Boseman is honoured in an updated opening montage to his 2018 Marvel flick Black Panther.

Walt Disney executive Bob Iger announced the change on Twitter. The new intro could be seen on Disney Plus, where the film is currently available. Or you can watch in the video below.

The channel redesigned the Marvel intro in line with what would have been Boseman's 44th birthday (Nov 26).

Boseman, who plays the titular role in the film, died on Aug 28 after a four-year battle with colon cancer.

The updated version shows concept art and images from Black Panther, as well as footage of Boseman's appearances in other Marvel titles including Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. There are also behind-the-scenes clips of the actor.

Previously, the studio paid similar tribute to Marvel Comics writer Stan Lee with a special montage inserted in the Captain Marvel film (2019).
