After months of waiting due to the closure of cinemas caused by the pandemic, local film Takut Ke Tak is finally opening at cinemas on Aug 27. It was originally scheduled to be released on April 2.
A comedy horror, Takut Ke Tak is helmed by Muzzamer Rahman with actors Nabil Aqil, Fabian Loo, Han Zalini, Arwind Kumar and Ika Nabella.
Director Muzzamer said: “I am excited Takut Ke Tak is finally opening in cinemas. I hope this film will attract Malaysians back to the multiplexes. Film industry, particularly our local industry, needs the support of audiences especially in the age of Covid-19."
Filmed early last year, Takut Ke Tak tells of five film students who team up to complete their final year project together.
They decide to challenge the tired cliches that pop up in almost all horror films, by making a horror flick of their own that doesn’t use any generic subplots.
But their plan to shoot a film in a haunted house turns into a nightmare when every horror film cliche occurs to them in the course of making the movie.
