"Usually, a pack of cigarettes in my hands would last less than two days. But praise be to God, it's been two days now since I've decided to battle this non-beneficial habit."

The popular TV star and singer adds there's no point regretting his past actions:

"What's past is already behind me. There's nothing I can do to rewrite how I've lived my life earlier. What I have is the present and I'm choosing to change now for a better future."

Nazim also sends his best wishes to others fighting the same fight: "All the best to everyone out there who's striving to live a healthy lifestyle."

In 2015, the Monalisa actor underwent surgery to remove a benign tumour in his brain.
