Worried she would gain weight during the movement control order (MCO), singer Aishah decided to practise intermittent fasting.

In two months, the Janji Manismu hitmaker told Harian Metro she went from 110kg to 79kg.

"I know if I stayed home, I would just keep eating. So I decided to undergo intermittent fasting."

And when she broke fast, Aishah's diet comprised nutritious, whole foods like salad greens, fruits and small amounts of rice.

"Before this, I ate all sorts of things. Even if I didn't eat rice, I ate chocolates and cakes which are really dangerous. I still indulge once in a while but in limited quantities."

The 55-year-old, who has undergone bariatric surgery in 2018, was ultimately motivated to change her lifestyle for her loved ones.

"At my age, I have to seriously care for my health. I have two sons. If anything happens to me, I pity them because they will have to take care of me."

She hopes to drop another 10kg to achieve her ideal weight.
