In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been self-isolating at his farmhouse in Panvel, about an hour's drive from Mumbai.
There, Salman can be seen getting closer to nature, documenting his experience horse riding as well as working a rice farm on social media.
On July 14, the 54-year-old posted a photo of himself on Instagram and Twitter, seated on the ground covered in mud from head to toe, head bent down under the blistering sun.
The photo was accompanied by the caption: "Respect to all the farmers."
The Sultan star undoubtedly had good intentions, acknowledging the contributions of farmers all over.
While some appreciated his shoutout to farmers ("Thank you for thinking about farmers," one wrote), others made fun of the actor and commented that the photo looks posed, pointing out that the actor's hands were surprisingly clean.
"I am (the) son of (a) farmer, I do farming in my free time but never done such work where mud will be applied to (my) full body except hands," one netizen commented.
Another wrote: "Your body is (filled) with clay. But unfortunately you didn't notice that your hand is clean... Sorry please change ur makeup artist."
The post has since garnered 2.7 million likes and nearly 100,000 comments on Instagram.
