Comedy series 'Keluarga Iskandar' returns as a film

Rediscover the antics of Haji Iskandar's family in the new film Keluarga Iskandar The Movie on Astro First (Astro Ch 480) on July 16.

Keluarga Iskandar ran for two seasons; the first on Astro Prima in 2012, and the second on Astro Warna (2014-2015). It was named the Best Comedy Series at the 2013 Anugerah Lawak Warna.

Following the series format, the film is shot in a mockumentary-style, allowing fans to catch up with Iskandar's family members and friends like Mak Jah, Abang Long, Abang Ngah and all the grandchildren on a more personal level.

In a press release from Astro Shaw, it stated that Keluarga Iskandar The Movie will provide answers from when the series ended

Director and executive producer Wan Hasliza Wan Zainuddin said: "... The film would answer all the questions from the end of season two of Keluarga Iskandar. I hope this film is a panacea for fans who have longed for a continuation, and will also attract newfound fans."

The basic premise for the reunion is a family wedding.

Keluarga Iskandar The Movie stars Kismah Johar, Hilal Azman, Zain Hamid, Anita Baharom, Azhar Sulaiman, Raja Ema, Sobri Anuar, Hiera Hassan and Izz Ilham.
