Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan has died after a two-year battle with neuroendocrine tumour, reported Hindustan Times.

He was 53.

The report stated that the actor was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai, India, on Tuesday (April 28), where he was under observation for colon infection.

He was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour in 2018

Irrfan had not only carved a successful acting career in India, he was also known globally having appeared in Western-produced films like Life Of Pi, Slumdog Millionaire, The Darjeeling Limited, The Amazing Spider-Man, Jurassic World and Inferno.

Although he was battling cancer, Irrfan didn't stop acting. His latest was this year's Bollywood film Angrezi Medium which was released just before India's lockdown.
