Actress Uqasha Senrose says she had undergone testing for Covid-19 on April 4.

She posted on Instagram a video of the testing process, which showed a healthcare worker collecting nose and throat swabs. Uqasha’s discomfort was apparent throughout the whole process, but the actress stressed the importance of getting tested.

In a statement to a Bahasa Malaysia daily, Uqasha said that she had not come into contact with any infected individuals. However, after experiencing high fever over the past few days, she voluntarily got herself tested for the novel coronavirus at a clinic in Kota Damansara.

According to Uqasha, her main concern was her family's health. As such, this was a pre-emptive measure she could take to minimise any risk to her parents, nieces and nephews, whom she lives with.

While she was nervous about the results, Uqasha also expressed a sense of relief at having fulfilled her social responsibilities.

It can take up to four days before test results are confirmed.
