Aniu, Sheila Majid and Malaysian artistes team up for trilingual Covid-19 song

Malaysian filmmaker-musician Aniu is back with another #MYStayHome project just a week after posting his Stay Home To Stay Safe video online on March 18 - Day One of Malaysia’s movement control order (MCO).

However, Covid-19 cases continued to rise in Malaysia, so the MCO was extended for another two weeks until April 14.

To help drive home the message, Penang-born Aniu "composed a song in the middle of the night" and the very next morning he enlisted the help of Sheila Majid, Ana Raffali, Jaclyn Victor and Altimet to sing in the trilingual track (Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin). Sheila and Ana also helped with the writing of lyrics in Bahasa Malaysia and English..

All the singers used their own smartphones to record their own video footage separately at their own homes.

With mixing by Billy Ong and music arrangement by Liu Wei Zhong, the song Stay Safe At Home was completed with the help of the Chinese Film Association of Malaysia (CFAM).

The music video for the song can be viewed on Aniu’s social media channels.
