Annual rock festival Rockaway Festival 2020, which was scheduled to take place on March 14 and 15 at Stadium Bukit Jalil, has been postponed.

Organiser Rockaway Entertainment announced on Twitter: "The decision of the postponement comes amid health and safety concerns arising from the recent outbreak of novel coronavirus in the region."

The organiser added the festival – featuring international acts Japanese heavy metal band Crossfaith and American rock band Atreyu and local music icon Datuk M. Nasir in its line-up – will be rescheduled to later in the year but did not specify a date yet.

All tickets remain valid for the new date. Those who wish to receive a full refund can email refunds@galactix.asia from today until March 10.

Taiwanese singer-songwriter Jay Chou and K-pop band Super Junior's KL concerts, originally scheduled for Feb 29 and March 1 respectively, are among other concerts postponed due to coronavirus so far. Another K-pop band Seventeen announced its Feb 22 KL concert has been cancelled due to the outbreak.
