JAKARTA/KUALA LUMPUR: POST and Katarsis Live present Reality Club at Zepp KL on 13 November, a one-night-only show marking a decade of songwriting from the Jakarta four-piece.
For the past ten years, Reality Club has helped shape the taste of a generation of Southeast Asian listeners.
From the indie favourite "Is It The Answer?" to the laidback swagger of "Alexandra", the band has built a catalogue that serves as a voice for the people, capturing the realities of love, longing, and growing up.
That reach was cemented by their third studio album, Reality Club Presents…, which saw the band broaden their sonic palette, weaving together genres while giving each track its own distinct narrative and character.
The album won Best Alternative Album at the Anugerah Musik Indonesia awards, with "Love Epiphany" taking Best Alternative Duo/Group/Collaboration.
Their fourth album, Who Knows Where Life Will Take You?, pushed their songwriting even further, earning praise as the band's most assured and emotionally resonant work to date.
The past year has been a turning point. In June, the band sold out their anniversary show in Jakarta and have since been recently signed to Suneater, the Indonesian label behind some of the country's most distinctive independent music. The KL date arrives with that momentum behind it.
This will not be a standard run through the hits. The show has been specially curated for the occasion, reworking the catalogue into a set built for the anniversary. Fans can expect to catch Reality Club like they never have before.
