Berlin is now home to Europe's first Samurai Museum, where visitors can experience the history of the samurai in a show of heavy armour, sharp swords and historic artefacts in 1,500sq m of exhibition space.

The museum, which opened at the start of May, showcases Japan's renowned warriors with more than 1,000 pieces, from majestic armour and ornate swords to ceramics and paintings, and even includes a Japanese-style Noh theatre, teahouse and calligraphy corner.
