Flying broomsticks, wizarding schools, dragons, magic spells and an evil sorcerer... what’s not to like about British author J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series.
It is no wonder that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan revealed his lockdown fatigue remedy was the series of seven books about the boy wizard and his quest to defeat the dark wizard Lord Voldemort.
Shah Rukh mentioned his love for the books recently during an interactive session with his fans on Twitter to mark the 29 years since the release of his debut film Deewana.
The actor was responding to a Twitter user who asked for his suggestion of books to read during the lockdown. Shah Rukh replied to the Tweet by simply saying “Restart Harry Potter series”.
Whether you’re a Potterhead or just a regular Muggle, it’s time to put on your witch’s hat, wave your wand, have a glass of Butterbeer and hop on The Hogwarts Express for a magical ride.

The first book, called Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone, was first published in 1997. Rowling would end up writing the remaining six books in a span of 10 years, with Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows closing the series in 2007.
If you’re done reading all seven books, you can also check out three supplementary books that are related to the wizarding world.
In Quidditch Through The Ages, Rowling charts the history of the wizarding sports and in Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, readers get to read all about the magical creatures that populate the Harry Potter world. These two books served as school books in the series.
Rowling also wrote The Tales Of Beedle The Bard, a favourite bedtime reading in wizarding households.
We're sure the Shah Rukh household would agree with these additional recommendations.
