Arabian Nights theme tells a story at PJ buka puasa buffet


Middle Eastern flavours at Sunset Terrace, Sunway Resort Hotel.

Brimming with culinary delights and a story to tell, the “Jemput Makan” buffet returns to Sunset Terrace restaurant, Sunway Resort Hotel in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Known for its immersive themed dining experiences, the eatery has based its latest culinary offerings on “The 1,001 Arabian Nights” folktales.

Amid decor reminiscent of an Arabian palace and aromas of Ramadan delicacies, guests can enjoy flavours of the Middle East and beyond.

Among the spice-laden dishes are spit-roasted whole lamb and maqluba, a Middle Eastern rice dish with meat and vegetables.

The chicken fatteh offers a texture-rich blend of shredded chicken, crispy pita, creamy yogurt and spiced chickpeas.

To these are added the havij polo (Persian carrot rice), Turkish pide and mixed grill.

The range continues with international as well as local favourites, abundant seafood on ice and vibrant salads.

The dessert counter offers local favourite putu bambu and Middle Eastern delicacy qatayef, among other treats.

There are also themed activities, intricate decor and luxurious gifts.

The “Jemput Makan” buka puasa buffet is available from 6.30pm to 10.30pm until March 30.

It is priced at RM248nett per adult and RM124nett per child or senior citizen.

“Jemput Makan” Hari Raya buffet lunch and dinner are also available.

Lunch is priced at RM158nett per adult and RM79nett per child or senior citizen, while dinner is priced at RM228nett per adult and RM114nett per child or senior citizen.

The journey continues with The Storyteller’s Trove located at the hotel lobby.

Of the seasonal offerings available until April 6, the star treat is the Kunafa Chocolate Bar that comes in pistachio or hazelnut flavours.

This treat features a nutty centre encased with delicate, crispy layers of kunafa wrapped in a velvety chocolate shell. Each bar is priced at RM68++.

Those looking for extra indulgence can opt for the Barakah Chocolate Box featuring both flavours for RM128++.

There are also the Scheherazade Gift Box (RM188++) and Shahryar Gift Box (RM288++) containing a curated selection of treats such as Kunafa Chocolate Bar, Medjool dates and assorted cookies.
