Paying tribute to Malaysia’s culinary diversity


Sup Gearbox, Rusuk Lembu Assam Pedas, Gulai Kawah Daging Umbut Pisang and Daging Bakar Air Assam Utara are among the dishes on Paya Serai’s Ramadan menu.

HILTON Petaling Jaya is presenting “Sajian Ramadan di Kampung” with an extensive menu featuring themed buffets, takeaway specials and in-room sahur dining.

The buffet dinner is part of the nationwide “Citarasa Serantau” campaign by Hilton hotels in Malaysia.

Inspired by Malaysia’s unique cultural tapestry and culinary heritage, this year’s theme calls for all foodies to explore flavours of Malaysia and beyond.

“Citarasa Serantau”, which means flavours or taste from the region, features local favourites as well as those from neighbouring countries such as Indonesia and Thailand.

The popular Paya Serai will feature a variety of its signature dishes and more than 10 action stalls.

The menu includes Sup Gearbox, Kambing Golek with Nasi Mandi, Ayam Guling Panggang Berempah with Nasi Briyani, Rusuk Lembu Assam Pedas, Gulai Kawah Daging Umbut Pisang, Ikan Sembilang Salai Masak Lemak Cili Padi, Daging Bakar Air Assam Utara, Ikan Merah Sekor Bakar Sambal Petai, Soup Ketam Nipah Lada Hitam, Bubur Lambuk Special Ekor Lembu and Nasi Kandar Lauk Kawah Berlima.

The buffet dinner at Paya Serai is priced at RM198 nett per adult and RM98 nett per child.

It is available from March 23 until April 21.

In addition, the newly launched Paya Serai Private Rooms are ideal for small family gatherings and entertaining business guests that promise privacy and comfort for both formal and social events.

The special menus feature six appetisers, eight main courses and desserts.

They are priced at RM269 nett per adult and RM138 nett per child.

Featured dishes include Kambing Bakar Special with Sos Lada Hitam, Satay Ayam dan Daging, Daging Salai Masak Lemak Cili Padi, Siput Sedut Masak Pedas, Udang Masak Mentega and Slipper Lobster Rendang.
