Guan Huat Seng proposes RM4mil acquisition of industrial property in Melaka

PETALING JAYA: Guan Huat Seng Holdings Bhd (GHS) is proposing to acquire a piece of freehold land measuring 2,106 sq metres from Angel Court (M) Sdn Bhd in Taman Perindustrian Krubong, Melaka, for RM4mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, GHS said the land comprises a single storey detached warehouse annexed with a two-storey office building.

“The proposed acquisition is intended to support the group’s long-term operational requirements and growth plans.”

It added that the said property will also provide additional storage and warehouse capacity to cater for the group’s current and future operational needs.

“Notwithstanding that the group is currently in the midst of setting up a new Krubong facility, the construction works for the said facility are only expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2028.

“Accordingly, the proposed acquisition is expected to address the group’s interim storage and warehousing requirements pending the completion of the new Krubong facility.”
