TNG Digital's GOfinance hits 8.5mil financial services users

KUALA LUMPUR: TNG Digital Sdn Bhd, operator of Malaysia’s TNG eWallet, announced today that its financial hub GOfinance reached 8.5 million financial services users as of August 31, 2026.

The milestone represents approximately 22% year-on-year growth, continuing a double-digit expansion trend for the feature since 2024.

Nearly one in three of TNG eWallet's overall user base of more than 27 million now utilises GOfinance, with over four million completing financial transactions through the hub on a monthly basis.

The platform combines wealth management, insurance, financing, remittances, everyday financial tools, and the TNG eWallet Visa Card into a single interface. Demonstrating a shift in how Malaysians interact with digital financial tools beyond standard mobile payments, close to 46 percent of GOfinance users engage with more than one financial product on the platform.

Desmond Teoh, Chief Financial Services Officer of TNG Digital, noted that users are increasingly seeking integrated solutions to grow savings, secure insurance, and send money home without navigating separate applications. He highlighted that the platform is transforming TNG eWallet into an everyday digital companion that assists consumers with broader money management.

Operating on an open platform model, GOfinance links TNG eWallet’s extensive reach with the specialized expertise of established financial institutions and service providers.

This structure enables consumers to access a wider range of products while providing partner institutions direct reach to millions of potential customers. Teoh emphasized the company's intention to onboard additional partners to address diverse customer demands across the country.

In addition to driving commercial growth, GOfinance supports Malaysia's broader economic goals under the National Strategy for Financial Literacy 2026-30.

By streamlining access to regulated financial services, the platform aims to enhance financial inclusion and make money management tools easier to locate, understand, and use for the public.
