JcbNext sells 2.56% stake in Taiwan’s 104 Corp for RM22.62mil


PETALING JAYA: JcbNext Bhd has disposed of 849,317 shares in Taiwan-listed 104 Corp for TWD177.78 million (RM22.62 million), reducing its stake in the company to 1.69%.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, JcbNext said the shares were sold in the open market between July 30 and Sept 18, at prices ranging from TWD203.50 to TWD213.25 per share.

Following the disposal, JcbNext holds 561,855 shares in 104 Corp, compared with 1.41 million shares previously. The disposed shares represented a 2.56% stake in 104 Corp.

104 Corp is involved in information technology, advertising, employment services and human resource consultancy. For the financial year ended Dec 31, 2025, it recorded net profit attributable to shareholders of TWD488.05 million and net assets of TWD1.71 billion.

JcbNext said it expects to record a net loss of RM1.57mil from the disposals, based on the shares’ fair value when the company lost significant influence over 104 Corp on July 1, 2026.

The shares had an original investment cost of RM8.38mil and were acquired between October 2007 and December 2010.

The proceeds will be used within two years to invest in listed securities or private investments that meet the group’s investment objectives.

JcbNext said the disposals were intended to diversify its investment portfolio and reduce concentration risk.
