KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks to watch today include AirAsia Group, PTT Synergy Group Bhd, Frontken Corp Bhd, Crest Builder Holdings Bhd, Eco World Development Group Bhd, YTL Power International Bhd and Hextar Retail Bhd.

AirAsia is seeking changes to a US$200mil loan from Ares Management Corp and Indies Capital Partners to free up some route revenue for aircraft lessors as it faces mounting financial pressure.

It was also reported that Malaysia is asking Malaysia Airlines and Batik Air about absorbing AirAsia’s domestic routes as the low-cost carrier seeks fresh funding and works to shore up its finances.

PTT Synergy Group has secured an RM83.26mil contract from Sime Darby Property for earthworks and ancillary works in Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang.

Frontken has acquired industrial land and seven factory buildings in Tainan, Taiwan, for RM118.16mil to support Ares Green Technology Corp’s expansion and future capacity needs.

Crest Builder has secured a RM56.88mil electrical services contract in Bandar Sri Damansara, taking its total outstanding order book to about RM1.9bil.

EcoWorld Malaysia has bid S$208.1mil (RM667.62mil) for a leasehold land parcel in Singapore as it expands its property development pipeline.

YTL Power, Ganda Power and Siemens Energy have secured four additional gas turbine units, bringing their total to seven with a combined capacity of more than 5,250MW to support rising power demand in Malaysia and the region.

Hextar Retail’s takeover offer has turned unconditional after its major shareholders secured more than 50% of the company’s voting shares.
