KUALA LUMPUR: NuEnergy Holdings Bhd
will invest in developing 21 megawatt-peak (MWp) solar photovoltaic (PV) facilities across 49 rooftop sites at a government agency’s premises.
Nuenergy said its wholly owned subsidiary IL Energy Sdn Bhd would undertake the investment, with the facilities forming part of the group’s portfolio of owned renewable energy assets.
It said the development of the facilities across the 49 rooftop sites will be undertaken by the subsidiary of the government agency as the main engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contractor.
The group said its other wholly owned unit Armani Sinar Sdn Bhd accepted a letter of award from the government agency on Sept 11, 2026, to collaborate as a strategic partner for the EPCC development of the facilities.
"As the strategic partner, Armani Sinar will provide engineering design support, establish the technical standards for the execution of the works, undertake technical reviews and carry out site verification, as well as supply the solar PV modules and solar inverters for the project,” Nuenergy said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
The group said the project will enable the group to add the project to its portfolio of owned renewable energy assets, generating recurring energy income over the term of the offtake arrangements and broadening its earnings base beyond project-based engineering and construction income.
It said the project accepted by Armani Sinar is expected to contribute positively to the Nuenergy group's earnings and net assets per share.
The facilities are expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2027, it added. - Bernama
