PETALING JAYA: Perak Transit Bhd
has posted a 23.8% lower profit of RM15.15mil for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026 (2Q26) compared to RM19.88mil posted in the same quarter last year.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the bus operator said the decline was due to lower contribution from its public transportation terminal operations.
Revenue, however, for the quarter was 9.4% higher at RM53.76mil versus RM49.14mil on the back of stronger contributions from bus and petrol station operations, as well as the commencement of its goods trading business which began in May this year.
The group declared a single tier dividend of 0.12 sen per share for the quarter, bringing the total dividend for financial year 2026 to five sen per share.
