’s subsidiary, PMW Concrete Industries Sdn Bhd (PCISB), received an optional value contract worth RM19.31mil from Tenaga Nasional Bhd
(TNB) for the additional supply and delivery of spun concrete poles for TNB’s distribution network.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the concrete product manufacturer said the optional value contract, signed alongside the contract is worth RM19.31mil, equivalent to 30% of the initial contract value of RM64.37mil, which brings the revised total contract value to RM83.68mil.
“Under the original terms of the initial contract, TNB has the right to request an optional value of up to 30% of the value of the initial contract, based on the same prices and the terms and conditions of the initial contract,” it said.
Meanwhile, PMW executive director and chief executive officer Lee Hon Hwa said the optional value contract will continue to strengthen the group’s order book and provide improved revenue visibility for 2026.
He said the optional value contract has also fostered trust in the technical, quality and delivery capacity of PMW and its subsidiaries to meet the group’s long-term client’s needs.
“Along with the higher production volume, PMW looks forward to improving its operational efficiency and achieving better economies of scale to match the order quantity.
“With our strong track record in the electrification projects of the nation, we look forward to participating in other relevant electricity infrastructure sectors including renewable energy integration, the development of data centres and other newly emerging power sectors,” he added
For its second quarter ended June 30, 2026, PMW reported a net profit of RM4.99mil on revenue of RM53.07mil. —Agencies
