SunCon unit secures RM1.02bil fit-out job for Johor data centre


KUALA LUMPUR: Sunway Construction Group said wholly-owned subsidiary Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd has accepted an RM1.02bil contract from a US multinational to undertake mechanical, electrical and plumbing fit-out works for a data centre in Johor.

It said the works have commenced with the receipt of the letter of award on Aug 3, 2026. Completion of the works is targeted for the fourth quarter of 2027.

The works are expected to contribute positively to the earnings of SunCon group for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026, onwards.

Including this latest award, SunCon has secured RM5.8bil worth of new orders in the present financial year. The group's total outstanding order book stands at RM10.4bil.
