PSP Energy expands market reach via Sinopec

PSP Energy said the distributorship provides PSP Lubricants with the opportunity to broaden its product portfolio.

PETALING JAYA: PSP Energy Bhd, via its wholly-owned subsidiary, PSP Lubricants (M) Sdn Bhd (PSP Lubricants) has been appointed as an authorised distributor of Sinopec Lubricant Co Ltd for Perak as well as Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang.

In a statement, the commercial fuel, bunkering and lubricants solutions provider said the appointment reinforces the group’s position within Malaysia’s downstream energy value chain and represents a strategic milestone in its efforts to expand its lubricants business.

“Through the authorisation, PSP Lubricants will be responsible for the sale and distribution of Sinopec lubricant products across the designated territories, supporting customers in industrial, transportation, commercial and other key sectors.”

Sinopec is one of the world’s largest energy and petrochemical groups, with its lubricant division supplying a comprehensive range of automotive, industrial and speciality lubricant products to customers across multiple markets.

PSP Energy said the distributorship provides PSP Lubricants with the opportunity to broaden its product portfolio, while enhancing its ability to serve customers seeking reliable lubricant solutions from an established international brand.

“The appointment also complements the group’s ongoing initiatives to strengthen its presence within the lubricants segment.

“As part of its growth strategy, the group has been expanding its geographic reach and operational capabilities to support rising demand for quality lubricant products across Malaysia, particularly in underserved regions outside major urban centres.”
