, via its wholly-owned subsidiary, PSP Lubricants (M) Sdn Bhd (PSP Lubricants) has been appointed as an authorised distributor of Sinopec Lubricant Co Ltd for Perak and East Coast Malaysia (Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang).
In a statement, the commercial fuel, bunkering and lubricants solutions provider said the appointment reinforces the group’s position within Malaysia's downstream energy value chain and represents a strategic milestone in its efforts to expand its lubricants business.
“Through the authorisation, PSP Lubricants will be responsible for the sale and distribution of Sinopec lubricant products across the designated territories, supporting customers in industrial, transportation, commercial and other key sectors.”
Sinopec is one of the world's largest energy and petrochemical groups, with its lubricant division supplying a
comprehensive range of automotive, industrial and speciality lubricant products to customers across multiple markets.
PSP Energy said the distributorship provides PSP Lubricants with the opportunity to broaden its product portfolio, while enhancing its ability to serve customers seeking reliable lubricant solutions from an established international brand.
Group managing director Ong Chee Seng said the appointment marks an important step in strengthening the group's lubricants business and expanding its presence in key regional markets.
“Sinopec is a recognised global brand with an extensive range of lubricant products, and we are pleased to partner with them to better serve customers across Perak and the East Coast states.
“By leveraging PSP Energy's established distribution network, industry experience and customer relationships, we believe the partnership will further strengthen our downstream energy solutions offering,” he said in a statement.
