Vaseehar Hassan appointed Amanahraya chairman

KUALA LUMPUR: Amanah Raya Bhd (AmanahRaya) has appointed Datuk Seri Dr Vaseehar Hassan Abdul Razack as its chairman.

AmanahRaya acting group managing drector/chief business and operating officer Jack Yap Ngee Heong welcomed the appointment, saying the company looked forward to benefiting from Vaseehar's extensive leadership experience and strategic insight.

"His wealth of experience and strategic insight will provide strong guidance to the board and management as we continue to drive sustainable growth, strengthen governance and deliver greater value to our stakeholders while remaining committed to serving the evolving needs of Malaysians," he said in a statement today.

Vaseehar has more than four decades of experience in banking, investment banking, Islamic finance, corporate governance, board leadership and executive coaching. He has served on the boards of numerous financial institutions and played a pivotal role in shaping Malaysia's Islamic banking landscape.

He currently sits on the boards of Ingress Corporation Bhd and Saturna Sdn Bhd. He is also a senior associate at the Kets de Vries Institute in London and an executive coach at the INSEAD Executive Centre. - Bernama
