(RLEB) has entered into a power purchase agreement with Syarikat Sesco Bhd to design, construct, own, operate and maintain a 200 MWac solar photovoltaic energy-generating facility in Tinjar, Sarawak.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, RLEB said the total development cost of the Facility is estimated at RM570mil.
“The PPA shall take effect upon the satisfaction or waiver, as applicable, of the conditions precedent stipulated therein, including the requisite corporate and governmental authorisations, execution and delivery of the relevant agreements, submission of the required studies and completion of the applicable licensing, security, testing and commissioning requirements.
“Unless extended or terminated earlier in accordance with the PPA, the PPA shall take effect on the effective date and shall remain in force for 30 years from the commercial operation date (COD) of the facility.”
RLEB said the COD is targeted for Dec 31, 2029.
“The facility is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of the company upon the commencement of commercial operations of the Facility.”
Reservoir Link executive deputy chairman Thien Chiet Chai said the award marked a key milestone for the group and reflected SESCO and Sarawak Energy’s confidence in its capabilities, while supporting its strategy to expand from oil and gas into power infrastructure.
