Careplus disposes of RM42mil land

PETALING JAYA: Careplus Group Bhd is disposing of a parcel of land measuring 40,680 sq m in Pekan Bukit Kepayang, Negri Sembilan to Delloyd Asset Portfolio (M) Sdn Bhd for RM42mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Careplus said a purpose-built single-storey retail complex is erected on the land.

“The proposed disposal provides the group with the opportunity to unlock the value of the subject property and monetise its investments in the subject property at the disposal consideration.

“In this respect, the proposed disposal is expected to result in a pro forma gain of approximately RM2.09mil to the company.”

Careplus said proceeds from the sale will primarily be used to construct a new energy vehicle manufacturing hub and purchase of equipment, as well as repayment of bank borrowings.

“Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the board expects the proposed disposal to be completed by the end of the calendar year 2026.”
