OGX unit wins RM97mil data centre contract

PETALING JAYA: OGX Group Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, OGX Networks Sdn Bhd (OGXN), has secured a RM96.64mil contract to supply fibre optic cables, patch panels and related materials for data centre (DC) applications.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the information technology infrastructure solutions specialist said OGXN had accepted a letter of award (LoA) from a customer identified as Customer E.

Under the contract, OGXN is required to deliver the DC products within six months from the date of the LoA.

Customer E is a Malaysian private limited company principally involved in the supply and installation of cables and computer equipment.

OGX said the contract is expected to strengthen the group’s presence in the DC market and enhance its participation in the sector’s supply chain.

It added that the products are intended to support high-capacity fibre optic connectivity and network infrastructure for DC operations.
