OGX unit secures RM96.6mil data centre supply contract

KUALA LUMPUR: OGX Group Bhd's wholly owned subsidiary, OGX Networks Sdn Bhd (OGXN), has secured a RM96.64mil contract to supply fibre optic cables, patch panels and related materials for data centre applications.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the information technology infrastructure solutions specialist said OGXN had accepted a letter of award (LOA) from a customer identified as Customer E.

Under the contract, OGXN is required to deliver the data centre products within six months from the date of the LOA.

Customer E is a Malaysian private limited company principally involved in the supply and installation of cables and computer equipment.

OGX said the contract is expected to strengthen the group's presence in the data centre market and enhance its participation in the data centre supply chain.

It said the data centre products are intended to support high-capacity fibre optic connectivity and network infrastructure for data centre operations.

OGX expects the contract to contribute positively to its earnings and net assets for the financial year ending May 31, 2027, subject to the successful delivery of the products.
