Matrix Concepts gives MVV TechValley a boost

Major force: Site progress of ongoing development works at MVV City in Negri Sembilan. Matrix Concepts’ sale of industrial land to logistics firm Golog Holdings Ltd reinforces the region’s emergence as a key integrated industrial and logistics hub.

PETALING JAYA: Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd is further enhancing the industrial ecosystem in MVV City through the sale of industrial land to logistics firm Golog Holdings Sdn Bhd.

In a statement, Matrix Concepts said this would reinforce the region’s emergence as a key integrated industrial and logistics hub under Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0 (MVV 2.0).

“The collaboration reflects Matrix Concepts’ proactive efforts in inviting strategic industrial and logistics players such as Golog to establish their presence within MVV City, as part of the company’s broader vision to build a more integrated, future-ready, and commercially competitive industrial ecosystem within the region.”

Matrix Concepts said Golog’s presence is expected to introduce cold chain infrastructure capabilities into the MVV City industrial ecosystem, supporting the increasing demand for temperature-controlled storage, warehousing, and distribution solutions across sectors such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, eCommerce, logistics, and import-export trade.

“As global supply chains continue to evolve and businesses increasingly seek resilient, connected and future-ready industrial destinations in South-East Asia, Matrix Concepts believes the integration of cold chain infrastructure will further enhance MVV TechValley’s competitiveness as a strategic industrial and logistics hub within the region.”

Matrix Concepts emphasised that the addition of Golog’s cold chain capabilities marks another step towards creating a more complete industrial ecosystem within MVV City.

It said Golog’s addition will be one that goes beyond conventional industrial development by integrating infrastructure, logistics readiness, business support facilities, and connectivity into a single ecosystem designed to support long-term industrial growth.

“Golog’s establishment also reflects growing confidence in MVV City’s long-term industrial potential as Malaysia continues to benefit from shifting regional supply chains, increasing Asean trade flows, and rising demand for operationally efficient industrial ecosystems.”

Matrix Concepts signed a memorandum of understanding with Golog in October last year to jointly develop the China-Malaysia Air Silk Road Dual Hub Industrial Park in MVV TechValley at Negri Sembilan.

The 618-acre industrial park will be developed in three phases and has a gross development value (GDV) of RM8bil.

“Backed by Golog’s strategic cooperation with China Henan Aviation Group Co Ltd and Sichuan Huashi Group Corp Ltd, the collaboration is expected to enhance regional logistics capabilities and strengthen cross-border supply chain connectivity,” said Matrix Concepts.

Developed jointly by Matrix Concepts and the Negri Sembilan state government (via NS Corp), MVV City is the first integrated township within the MVV 2.0 corridor, spanning 2,382 acres and designed as a balanced ecosystem that will bring together 1,000 acres of industrial land, more than 15,000 homes, and 174 acres of commercial and institutional space.
