DXN secures Kedah land for new mega facility

KUALA LUMPUR: DXN Holdings Bhd has secured a 60-year lease for industrial land in Kedah to develop a new mega manufacturing facility aimed at strengthening its global supply chain.

The manufacturer of nutraceutical products said in a statement its wholly owned unit, DXN Industries (M) Sdn Bhd, entered into the agreement with Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Kedah for five parcels of land in Bukit Kayu Hitam, covering about 1.2 million sq ft, for RM27.8mil.

The proposed Bukit Kayu Hitam facility is expected to significantly expand production capacity and support growing demand across international markets.

DXN said the new facility, together with its existing operations in Jitra, will form an integrated manufacturing base within the northern industrial corridor, allowing the group to leverage its workforce, infrastructure and logistics network while improving operational efficiency.

Its founder and executive chairman Datuk Lim Siow Jin said the development marks a key step in reinforcing the group’s global supply chain and ensuring production scalability and consistency.

“The Bukit Kayu Hitam facility marks a key step in reinforcing our global supply chain, supporting greater production capacity, supply consistency, and closer coordination across our vertically integrated operations worldwide.”

DXN said the latest development adds momentum to its broader multi-region manufacturing rollout, following the recent operationalisation of new plants in Nepal and Bangladesh, which are already contributing to the group’s global output.

This network will be further strengthened by projects under development, including new overseas facilities in Bolivia, Peru and Morocco, as well as a plant in Kelantan, all slated for completion in 2027.
