IN today’s technology-driven and highly competitive business environment, digitalisation is no longer an option but a necessity.
The implementation of e-Invoice, introduced in 2024, is an initiative that supports this digital transformation.
To address the challenges that businesses – especially micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) – may face in adapting to digitalisation, the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (HASiL) has introduced MyInvois e-POS, a free digital point-of-sale (POS) platform designed to help businesses improve operational efficiency in a simpler and more effective manner.
MyInvois e-POS is specifically developed to reduce the cost burden for small businesses transitioning to digital systems. It is offered to businesses operating in Malaysia with annual sales of up to RM5mil.
The platform caters for a wide range of businesses, including retail shops, restaurants, cafes, clothing boutiques and convenience stores, making it an inclusive solution that SMEs can utilise.
In addition to features such as sales management, accounting, inventory management and financial reporting, the MyInvois e-POS system also enables sellers to issue e-Invoices directly during transactions with buyers.
Alternatively, buyers may request an e-Invoice from the seller after the transaction is completed.

With its comprehensive functionalities, MyInvois e-POS serves as a complementary tool that supports the business ecosystem and strengthens the implementation of e-Invoice in Malaysia.
By adopting this system, daily operational efficiency improves as businesses move away from manual methods that are prone to errors, document loss and poor traceability.
Financial records also become more organised, easing the preparation of reports and business performance analysis.
Furthermore, the system is designed to facilitate the implementation of e-Invoice without disrupting existing business operations. An e-Invoice will be generated automatically upon the buyer’s request.
In the absence of any request, a consolidated e-Invoice will be automatically generated on a predetermined date. This allows businesses to focus on their operations without worrying about technical processes.
To begin using MyInvois e-POS, businesses only need basic devices such as a smartphone or tablet with internet access.
Additional equipment such as receipt printers and barcode scanners can be used to enhance operational efficiency.
MyInvois e-POS provides SMEs with an opportunity to move towards digitalisation in a more accessible and efficient way.
With its comprehensive features and free access, this platform not only helps businesses manage their operations more systematically but also enables them to grow within an increasingly challenging digital economy landscape.
