Vantris Energy secures RM1.4bil offshore T&I contracts from PETRONAS Carigali

PETALING JAYA: Vantris Energy Bhd, via its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Sapura Offshore Sdn Bhd, has been awarded work orders for offshore transportation and installation (T&I) in Malaysia by PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd with a combined contract value of approximately RM1.4bil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Vantris, formerly Sapura Energy Bhd, said the awards comprise the provision of T&l for offshore facilities at the Sepat Integrated Redevelopment Project and the Belud South Greenfield Development Project, under the existing contract provision of transportation and installation of offshore facilities.

Both work orders are expected to commence in the first quarter of 2026, with Belud South scope anticipated for completion by the fourth quarter of 2027 and the Sepat scope by the third quarter of 2029.

“These operations will be executed by the group's engineering and construction (E&C) arm, underscoring the group's efforts in strengthening E&C's performance through disciplined execution of its core capabilities, and a strategic shift towards opportunities with lower-risk contracting models.

Commenting on the contract awards, Vantis Energy Group chief executive officer Muhammad Zamri Jusoh said: “These contracts demonstrate Vantris Energy's offshore T&l capabilities, and our continued focus to deliver sustainable performance across our core businesses, prioritising opportunities aligned with our capabilities, regional strengths, and risk appetite."

With a stronger balance sheet following its restructuring effective date in September 2025, Vantris said it is well-positioned to continue strengthening operational excellence across all its businesses, while sustaining positive momentum in its execution and delivery.
