MN Holdings wins TNB submarine cable upgrade job

PETALING JAYA: MN Holdings Bhd, together with LS Cable & System Ltd and Pembinaan Tajri Sdn Bhd, via a consortium arrangement, has secured a contract for the upgrading of a 132 kilovolt (kV) submarine power cable system from Tenaga Nasional Bhd for RM177.36mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the underground utilities engineering services solutions provider said the contract is to upgrade a 132 kV submarine power cable system from a transmission main intake (PMU) Kuala Perlis to PMU Teluk Apau No. 1 with relevant protection, control, ancillary equipment and associated civil works.

“The contract will not have any effect on the issued share capital and the shareholding of the substantial shareholders of the company.

“However, the contract is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings and net assets per share of the company upon commencement of the contract,” it said.
