Ni Hsin in tie-up to accelerate EV deployment in Malaysia

PETALING JAYA: Ni Hsin Group Bhd, via its wholly-owned subsidiary Ni Hsin EV Tech Sdn Bhd (NHEVT) has signed a contract manufacturing agreement with MARS Greentech Sdn Bhd to accelerate the rollout of electric two-wheel mobility solutions in Malaysia and the broader South-East Asian market.

In a joint statement, the parties said the collaboration brings together NEVT's capabilities as an experienced electric vehicle (EV) original equipment manufacturer (OEM) assembler with MARS Greentech's platform-driven, asset-light mobility strategy, enabling rapid and scalable market deployment.

“Under the agreement, NEVT will act as the OEM assembler for selected MARS Greentech electric vehicle models, supporting local assembly operations, quality control and product standardisation, as well as compliance with Malaysian regulatory and certification requirements.

“The partnership enables MARS Greentech to achieve accelerated time-to-market and scalable deployment, while maintaining a capital-efficient structure.”

By leveraging each other’s strengths, the parties said they aim to expand EV adoption across consumer and fleet segments.
