Vantris Energy rallies as turnaround results boost sentiment


KUALA LUMPUR: Vantris Energy Bhd advanced in early trade as investors reacted positively to its latest turnaround results.

Vantris Energy, formerly known as Sapura Energy Bhd, rose 19.44%, or seven sen, to 43 sen at 9.33 am. It was among the most actively traded counters on Bursa Malaysia, with 11.81 million shares changing hands. Year-to-date, however, the stock remains down 30%.

The group swung back into profitability in the third quarter ended Oct 31, 2025 (3Q26), recording a net profit of RM4.27bil versus a net loss of RM293.06mil a year earlier, following the completion of its financial restructuring.

Quarterly revenue, however, eased 14.8% to RM982.79mil from RM1.15bil in 3Q25.

For the nine-month period, revenue fell 19.5% to RM2.85bil from RM3.54bil, while net profit improved to RM3.56bil compared with a net loss of RM216.16mil previously.
