Highways without barriers: Challenges ahead

MALAYSIANS may be forgiven for feeling confused about the country’s move towards barrierless tolling.

Despite reports that certain highway concessionaires are trialling their systems – such as PLUS Malaysia Bhd’s JustGO, which uses Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology on the Hutan Kampung–Sungai Dua stretch in Kedah – we have yet to see it in action ourselves.
