Topmix acquires lands in Johor for RM19mil

PETALING JAYA: Topmix Bhd is proposing to acquire two pieces of freehold vacant lands in Johor Baru, Johor, totalling 10,117 sq metres from Kesas Kenangan Sdn Bhd for a combined amount worth RM18.97mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the decorative surface solutions provider said the proposed acquisitions are in line with the group’s long-term strategic plan to expand its operational capacity and enhance its manufacturing and warehouse infrastructure.

“The strategic proximity to major seaport, border crossing and airport infrastructure is expected to enhance supply chain efficiency, optimising logistical efficiency and improving operational efficiency.

“In addition, the proposed acquisitions provide long-term operational flexibility and support the group’s expansion strategy by securing industrial land in a high-demand growth corridor, while land availability with similar logistical advances is increasingly limited.”

The company added that the proposed acquisitions will also enable the group to strengthen its production and warehouse capabilities and better cater to increasing customer demand.
