SEREMBAN: Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd has signed memorandum of understanding with Golog Holdings Sdn Bhd to jointly develop the 247ha China–Malaysia Air Silk Road Dual Hub Industrial Park in Malaysia Vision Valley (MVV) TechValley here.

The project, with an estimated gross development value of RM8bil, will feature, among other things, an inland port with advanced cold chain storage that will enhance Malaysia’s logistics infrastructure and industrial ecosystem.

The park will be developed in three phases with the first being a 42.4ha logistics hub, followed by an International logistics centre and a large industrial park.

Matrix Concepts group executive director Kelvin Lee said Golog’s expertise in artificial intelligence, automation and intelligent cold chain logistics aligned perfectly with its vision of building an ecosystem that supports future-ready industries.

“We welcome Golog as one of the pioneering logistics and technology players in MVV TechValley as their entry will not only enhance the logistics capabilities there, but also elevate the entire development as a destination for innovation, high-value industries and global connectivity.”

He said Golog is a logistics company that is redefining the future of intelligent logistics.

“Their smart halal cold chain hub, EV Valley initiatives, and plans for a logistics hub in MVV reflect the kind of forward-looking developments that align with our vision for MVV TechValley,” Kelvin said in his speech.

“This partnership is a powerful example of how international collaboration can complement local vision,” he said.

Golog executive chairman and group chief executive officer Ivan Chin said the partnership was not just about land or logistics – but hope.

“Together, we believe Malaysia can stand proudly at the heart of the Air Silk Road connecting Asia’s industries, cultures and communities through trust, technology and friendship.

“When Matrix Concepts, a builder of cities and dreams, joins hands with Golog, a company born from innovation and perseverance, something powerful begins to happen,” he said in his speech.

The park will have six centres that comprises a durian processing and logistics hub, an artificial intelligence innovation centre, Henan cultural centre, an exhibition centre showcasing what the two nations can achieve together, trade centre and an integrated digital system that acts as a pulse linking every facility, moving goods, data and dreams along the Air Silk Road.

State Industrial and Non-Muslim Affairs Committee chairman Teo Kok Seong, who witnessed the signing, described it as more than a corporate partnership.

“It reflects how collaboration, innovation and vision can drive Malaysia forward, in particular in Negri Sembilan.

Also present at the signing were Matrix Concepts chairman Datuk Mohamad Haslah Mohamad Amin, founder and group executive deputy chairman Datuk Seri Lee Tian Hock and Golog group executive director Daniel Then.
