Tomypak appoints Ignatius Ong as managing director


KUALA LUMPUR: Tomypak Holdings Bhd has appointed Ignatius Ong Ming Choy as its new managing director, effective Sept 17, 2025.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the flexible packaging manufacturer said Ong, 50, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance (First Class Honours) from Middlesex University, London, and brings nearly three decades of experience spanning banking, consulting, aviation, and digital payments.

He was previously the chief executive officer of Touch ‘n Go eWallet at TNG Digital Sdn Bhd from 2019 to 2022, and as group chief revenue officer of Malaysia Aviation Group Bhd, where he also led Firefly Airlines as CEO from 2011 to 2018.

Ong is currently an independent non-executive director at KAF Digital Bank Bhd and an executive director at FarmByte Sdn Bhd, in addition to being an independent contractor with Ernst & Young Consulting Sdn Bhd.
