PETALING JAYA: Asteel Group Bhd
has accepted a letter of award from EC Bina Sdn Bhd to supply, deliver and install roof finishing and associated works for construction of factory buildings in Kuala Langat, Selangor, for RM10.1mil.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the steel manufacturer said the contract will involve works for 157 factory buildings, adding that construction time will be eight months from the commencement date on Aug 17.
“The project enables Asteel to enhance its project reference and provide a competitive advantage in future construction projects.
“The project will not have any effect on the share capital and substantial shareholders’ shareholding of Asteel and is not expected to have any material effect on the net assets per share and gearing of Asteel and its subsidiaries for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2025.”
