Etiqa General Takaful names Khairoel Faiezy as new CEO

KUALA LUMPUR: Etiqa General Takaful Bhd (EGTB) has appointed Khairoel Faiezy Hasnan as its new chief executive officer, effective Sept 1, 2025.

The insurer, in a statement, said Faiezy succeeds Shahrul Azuan Mohamed, who retired after 20 years with EGTB, including five years as Etiqa CEO.

In his new role, Faiezy will report directly to Etiqa Insurance and Takaful Group CEO Kamaludin Ahmad.

Faiezy brings 19 years of experience in the insurance industry, notably at NMG Consulting and AIG Malaysia.

He joined Etiqa in 2014 as head of pricing for general products, where he oversaw regulatory compliance and developed pricing strategies for both EGTB and Etiqa General Insurance Bhd (EGIB).

In 2021, he was appointed chief data officer at Maybank Ageas Holdings Bhd, before assuming the dual role of chief data officer and head of the automobile profit centre in 2023.

“In his new role, he will provide strategic, financial, and operational leadership to drive sustainable growth and enhance shareholder value, further strengthening EGTB’s position in a dynamic and fast-changing market.
