PETALING JAYA: HSBC has been named Best International Bank in Malaysia for the third consecutive year at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026, while also receiving the award for Malaysia's Best Bank for Customer Experience.
The bank said the awards reflected its position as an international banking partner in Malaysia, citing its focus on customer experience, technology-driven innovation and operational excellence.
HSBC Bank Malaysia chief executive Datuk Omar Siddiq said the latest recognition underscored customers' confidence in the bank's ability to connect them with international opportunities.
"Three years of Euromoney recognition is a powerful testament to the trust our customers place in HSBC to connect them to global opportunities," he said.
Omar added that the bank continues to combine its international network with local expertise to serve its corporate and wealth management clients more effectively.
"Keeping things simple has been our catalyst for strong outcomes, and we are proud to see that dedication recognised on a global stage," he said.
Globally, HSBC received 59 awards across its network at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026, which recognises financial institutions for leadership and the delivery of banking services.
Separately, HSBC Amanah Malaysia was recognised earlier this year at the Euromoney Islamic Finance Awards 2026, winning accolades including World's Best Islamic Structured Finance House, Asia-Pacific's Best Islamic Structured Finance House, Malaysia's Best Islamic Structured Finance House, and Malaysia's Best Islamic Bank for ESG (environmental, social and governance), in addition to several deal-specific awards.
