KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit ended higher against the US dollar on Monday, driven primarily by the United States Federal Reserve (Fed) chair Jerome Powell's dovish Jackson Hole speech, which signalled a possible interest rate cut in September.
At 6 pm, the local note rose to 4.2045/2105 versus the greenback from last Friday’s close of 4.2245/2295.
