PETALING JAYA: RedPlanet Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, AZTI Systems Sdn Bhd, has received a RM7.09mil purchase order for a 15 megawatts alternating current (MWac) large-scale solar photovoltaic plant in Batu Sapi, Sandakan, Sabah.

The order, from a Malaysian-incorporated company, covers supervisory control and data acquisition and system integration engineering design. It also includes the supply of electrical, control, automation and digital systems equipment.

In a statement, managing director Lian Wah Seng said the order allows the enterprise information, communication and technology solutions provider to apply its engineering and systems integration capabilities to a large-scale solar plant. He added that the group would coordinate closely with the awarder to deliver the agreed scope.

The order is expected to run for six months, with the start date to be mutually agreed. RedPlanet plans to fund hardware purchases, including inverters, remote terminal equipment and cables, through initial public offering proceeds, bank borrowings and/or internally generated funds.

The order is expected to contribute positively to earnings per share and net assets per share over its duration.
