Bursa Malaysia to close on Sept 1, 5, 15 and 16 for public holidays


KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia Bhd and its subsidiaries will be closed on several dates in September 2025 for upcoming public holidays.

The exchange, in a statement, said it will be closed on Sept 1 for the replacement holiday of National Day, which falls on Aug 31, and will resume on Sept 2.

It will also be closed on Sept 5 for the Birthday of Prophet Muhammad, with trading resuming on Sept 8.

In conjunction with the Malaysia Day celebration, Bursa Malaysia will close on Sept 15 as an additional public holiday and on Sept 16 for Malaysia Day itself. Trading will resume on Sept 17.

However, Bursa Malaysia noted that the Bursa Gold Dinar primary marketplace and Bursa Suq Al-Sila’ will remain open for trading during the public holidays.
