KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Leong Bank has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with DCAP Digital Sdn Bhd as part of its ongoing commitment to support the SME ecosystem and provide tailored financial solutions.

This partnership aims to enhance SME lending infrastructure and promote financial inclusion for underbanked communities in Malaysia.

DCAP Digital, founded in 2020, specialises in delivering transparent and fair credit solutions through its comprehensive Lending-as-a-Service (LaaS) platform.

Through this collaboration, HLB will leverage DCAP Digital’s AI-driven credit scoring and LaaS expertise, combined with its own strong financial solutions and broad reach in consumer financing and mobility, to offer tailored lending solutions that meet customers’ unique business needs.

“This represents a big step forward for HLB in terms of enhancing our lending services, as we continuously look to streamline our financing processes to better serve our dynamic pool of business customers,” HLB head of SME Banking Woon Siew Hoong.

“Aligned with our brand promise of being Built Around You, we are committed to maintaining a comprehensive suite of banking solutions that are designed to suit our customers’ diverse needs, while ensuring the solutions are deployed in an efficient and seamless manner. Our partnership with DCAP Digital is a major milestone in this journey, where we combine AI integration, digital innovation, extensive market penetration, and tailored financing solutions to provide a truly enhanced customer experience.”

Meanwhile, DCAP Digital co-founder and CEO Sonia Ng said the collaboration combines HLB’s financial strength with DCAP’s technology to create smooth experiences, support smart SME growth, and encourage sustainability in the motorcycle ecosystem.

“The collaboration will also involve joint promotional activities, such as workshops, seminars, and marketing campaigns to amplify visibility within the motorcycle industry, and training sessions for dealers on application best practices,” she said.
